This story puts a unique twist on the stereotypical witches/werewolves/vampires entourage that I thoroughly enjoyed. Thanks to the unique twist on things, I was kept guessing not only at what might happen next, but also what these atypical creatures were really like. My only major issues with the story was that it seemed a little fast-paced to me, and the character seemed to accept her new lot in life a bit quickly. I would have loved to see some extra inner conflict regarding her new situation. Still, it was a lovely read. Action-packed, very true to the character’s POV, and interesting. I can’t wait to read the second volume!
The cover is eye-catching and offers an accurate depiction of what readers will find within the story itself.
