This is a cute story that makes use of a good combination of small and large words. I think it’s perfect for children to practice small words they already know and expand their vocabulary at the same time. It’s a silly story with educational value that has been around a *LONG* time. My mother read it to me as a child, and I’ve read it to both of my own children.

The cover is eye-catching and offers an accurate description of what readers should expect to find within the story.

  1. My younger brother (who’s now 20) was crazy about this book when he was a kid. I can still remember my Mom reading it to him over and over. Of course, when he was that age anything with cars or trucks had him sold. 😛

    • Haha! That sounds like my son! He just turned two today and he’s obsessed with anything that has to do with cars or trucks. In fact, I think “truck” was in his first twenty spoken words. He adores this book also! I’ve read it ofte enough I can nearly recite it verbatim! LOL!
