Story Rating: ****
Cover Rating: B
This in-depth story offers a perspective of history in fiction form that we do not often see. As a lover of all things history, I truly appreciated that. The story is heart-breaking, introspective, with a few bright points – which are in line with the character. The characters are very realistic, and your heart can’t help but go out to Katla. Warning: this book definitely contains triggers for anyone who may have been the victim of sexual (or even domestic) abuse.
The cover is moderately eye-catching and offers a fairly good description of what readers should expect to find within it’s pages.
