I’ve always enjoyed fictional books written in the form of diaries, which is one of the original things that drew me to read this book. I’m also a history nerd (of the highest order), so the idea of nosily peeking into history also drew me. I wasn’t disappointed. This book offers a look into the life of Napoleon Bonaparte’s wife and all the circumstances revolving in the era of her life. It is riveting, intriguing, and kept me wishing for more. I also enjoyed the glances of one of history’s important figures, Napoleon himself, as told through the eyes of the woman who wed him.

The cover is eye-catching and offers a fair description of what readers should expect to find within it’s pages.
