This book is a beautifully written tale about a “wild child” who has grown up with Dolphins. The way the author delves into her mind is realistic and really places the reader into the footsteps of Mia as she struggles to regain footing in a human world she should have belonged to but never has. It also inserts numerous facts about dolphins in a way that younger audiences are sure to both understand and remember.
I read this book with my daughter, Vikki, and she loved the story. She laughed, cried, and asked many questions about what the author presented in an appropriate way that really gets the mind moving.
The cover is eye-catching and provides a fairly accurate depiction of what the reader should expect from the story.
