I was drawn into this story from the very beginning. The book is so descriptive that I felt I was in the Louisiana Bayou in the early 1900’s. The story is action-packed and moves quickly from one vital scene to the next without a rushed feeling.
The characters are both believable and likable, while also being realistically flawed. The “flawed” characters are one of the things I love most about Sarah Storme’s books.
The cover, however, could use some work. While the bright color design is great, I don’t feel the cover is representative of the story at all – and it’s kind of bland.
